Read Ephesians 2: 1-22
If one is to believe the blessed word of God and let God be true and every man a liar (Romans 3:4). We find that salvation is a free gift from God because of the death of His Son Jesus on the cross (John 3:16). There is no work on the sinner’s part that they must do to receive salvation but believe by Faith and accept what God has done or I should say that God had planned from the very beginning of the world and that is the death of Jesus on the cross. I feel that one of the reasons we have a hard time accepting the free gift of God is because we as humans like to pay or earn something; we feel like we have cheated or that if it free it’s to good to be true! These are good points but not when dealing with God and his plan of salvation. You see some people could buy salvation if it had a set price because they could afford it; yet other like me could never come up with the need price to purchase salvation. Just think if one had to climb the highest mountain in the world (Mount Everest) to received salvation this to would be impossible for me seeing I am in a wheelchair. What about if one had to be educated or uneducated or rich or poor or tall or maybe redheaded only? So as you can see if there was any kind of test, cost, feat or obligation mankind could not obtain salvation because it would always be out of reach for someone somewhere (II Peter 3:9). God in His loving Grace made a way (Salvation) free for mankind (John 3:16). Now once we receive the free salvation from God the next logical question is how long it will last? The short answer is Eternally! So, as we can see salvation is free a wonderful gift from God. Yes, it’s free to mankind But the cost God had to pay is yet another topic. Now here is the question that must be answered “Are You Saved”? If not please read the entire Chapter of St John 3 and Be Born Again! | |
